We are a private billing practice here at Family Health Clinic. This means there is an out-of-pocket fee across all consultations. We offer discounted rates for children under 16 years of age, and those who hold a valid government concession card. Bulk billing is at the doctor’s discretion only. Please see reception or head to our website familyhealthclinics.com.au for a detailed fees schedule.

Payments

A full payment of fees is required after your consultation with our GPs. We accept EFTPOS, cash and credit cards. Where a Medicare rebate is payable, we can process this immediately.

Please see reception or head to our website familyhealthclinics.com.au for details of what rebate is available for each consultation.

Communication with your doctor

Our lovely reception team will be happy to take your message and pass it on to the doctor, who will deal with it as soon as they are available to do so. Please note that you will need at least a telehealth consultation if you require a script or referral of any kind. Our staff or doctors may send medical correspondence to you via email if requested.

Test Results

A normal test result is not routinely conveyed to you. If your test result is not diagnosed as ‘normal’, you will be contacted by the practice nurse via phone call/SMS or by mail if these attempts are unsuccessful. The receptionist or nurse will advise if you are required to make an appointment with the doctor to discuss your results.

Reminders

We may send SMS reminders or letters offering preventative services appropriate to your care and circumstances. We also send SMS reminders to book an appointment with your GP for results discussion. Please let our reception team know if you wish to opt out of receiving these reminders

Appointments can be made by calling our reception on (03) 7033 0288 or online either via our website or the HotDoc booking system.

If you are unable to make your appointment, please cancel online – if booked through HotDoc – or call the clinic on 7033 0288 to cancel. You may also email reception prior to your appointment and let them know. Please give us as much notice In advance as possible of your cancellation as there is always someone else who can benefit from that appointment.
