Will graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science with Honours, and a Master of Dietetics. His Honours degree included a research project investigating how exercise changes muscle and mitochondrial genes, and muscle and exercise performance. Will has continued building his skills, completing the Sports Dietitians Australia course for accreditation as a Sports Dietitian, level 2 ISAK Anthropometrist (skin folds) accreditation, and certificates 3 and 4 in Personal Training.
Will did his training at the Austin Hospital. He had the chance to work with patients in both acute and long-term care. He also had experience at the Baker Institute, which specialises in diabetes research education, and Lap Surgery Australia (which specialises in bariatric and weight loss surgery).
Will is a dedicated practitioner who prides himself on helping his clients improve their health and nutrition through personal and individualised plans. What to expect in a consult?
Will offers his services at the Family Health Clinic in Malvern. He is keen on providing a high-quality service for the community. Will Opened his books and is accepting new patients.
Initial consultations will consist of one hour with Will, who will dive into your medical history, blood and test results, medications and dietary supplements, dietary restrictions, food intolerances/ triggers, and current diet, lifestyle, and eating patterns. Review appointments are crucial, as this is our opportunity to discuss how our plan, goals and strategies have gone. In collaboration with the patients, Will re-evaluates and refines the goals and strategies to ensure that his patients have the tools and confidence to achieve their desired results. Review sessions usually last for thirty minutes each.
Brief about Will
Will grew up in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs and has a love for many sports, especially tennis, which Will continues to play today. Through his sport, Will developed an interest in food and nutrition, its role in sport performance and improving overall health, in both life and sport. Will’s love for tennis and sport led him to study exercise and sports science at university, where he found a love and passion for food, nutrition, and exercise science. Will is an avid tennis player and enjoys playing and competing in local competitions, also regularly gets to the gym to keep fit. Outside of this, Will enjoys finding a good coffee and a chat.
